All products are 100% solid brass. Although some may be hollow tubes, they are still made of 100% premium quality brass. No filler material is used and the brass is not plated on top. There is a protective lacquer coating to resist tarnishing. No polishing is necessary. This coating should last many years. Just follow these simple steps to keep your stair rods in perfect conditions for many years.

1. To clean the rods and wall hangers, simply wipe with a dust cloth. You may dampen the cloth with a little water if necessary. DO NOT use brass cleaner, chemicals or abrasives to clean the rods.



2. Periodically check and tighten all screws and hardware.



3. Stair Rods alone are not a form of carpet installation. A non-slip pad and another form of carpet installation is required. Stair Rods are for decorative use only.
